This book has been sitting on the coffee table for weeks now. It may have been the title because it read like an unrealizable promise. Most small business owners are not yet involved in “I Want To Be.” Embarrassed The rich “conversation stage. They are just trying to make ends meet.

Possibly it was attacked by Mark Cuban. “I wish I had this book when I was starting out.” – Really, I mean you’re Mark Cuban for yelling at you out loud. I don’t think a single book made Marc Cuban a great entrepreneur. Marc Cuban made Marc Cuban a great businessman.

Sorry if I’m a little bit picky. I just want you to understand the headspace you were in before I read on Businessman to Millionaire.

Call me a struggling marketer, but all these magnetic headlines and marketing phrases that have been tested on small business owners and optimized for conversion rates, make me want to elope.

So, the book sat there week after week. I knew I had to pick it up and read it, but I already told myself that it was going to be another book full of war stories from someone who had achieved success but couldn’t turn their experiences into business owners like you – and me.

As it turns out, what Mark Cuban said in the introduction was what I thought when I finally read the book, “I wish I had read this book when it appeared!”

Those darn marketers.

Kent Billingsley knows how to make millionaires

Over the past 20 years, Kent Billingsley has created “branded content and software that has transformed thousands of entrepreneurs into millionaires and millions.” He is known as the engineer of revenue growth in America.

Billingsley is committed to solving one major problem every entrepreneur faces – being great at what he does, but not making enough money.

Although I am not a fan of the style of writing this book, the passion and advice is immediately there. Billingsley writes in reliable style and pulls no beating when you share his advice. He writes with passion and confidence when he introduces his counterintuitive principles that land like a loving knock on the side of the head:

“Nobody in ten entrepreneurs doesn’t need more than most of the things they think they need to grow and make money. They need less:

  • They don’t need more leads – they need fewer high-quality leads.
  • They don’t need more suggestions, they need to learn how to win more and lose less.
  • They don’t need more customers, they need higher quality customers who will pay more. “

Time to work on your business instead of working with you

The question is not whether or not you can succeed with the Billingsley process, it is whether or not you have what it takes to take a critical look at your business.

I think that’s the hardest part of this book. Take the time to read each chapter and seriously think about the mistakes you made.

Yeah. In each chapter, you’ll find either common mistakes or common excuses that Billingsley ran into with clients.

Here are some of the things that really set me apart:

Relying on word of mouth for rapid growth of the company: Yikes! You and I know that the most popular marketing strategy for every small business I know is word of mouth or referrals. But Billingsley says word of mouth alone is not a way to quickly grow a profitable business. I can understand why. Most small business owners do not have a referral the system . Hence, their referrals are neither controlled nor predictable. And since they don’t have a referral system, referrals do not scale and tend to be of low quality.

Or here is another example. Which of these poor marketing excuses have you used?

  • We have just completely fixed our site and we don’t want to change.
  • Our marketing message is good.
  • We have hired an expensive advertising company and create our own content.
  • None of our prospects reacted negatively to our message.

Things I love about Entrepreneur to Millionaire

There are many elements in this book that I find powerful and helpful. Organize the book on the spot. Each chapter contains short sections with large titles. This makes the book easy to read.

A businessman to a millionaire from the book

What would make the book more convertible for small businesses

As it stands now, Billingsley shares his wisdom and it is up to you to make the most of it. Personally, I like it. I like reading a book with a notebook and taking the time to ponder, brainstorm, and strategize.

However, some people prefer to access worksheets and how-to questions while undergoing a process.

If you visit the Billingsley website RevenueGrowthCompany.com You’ll find a variety of resources that are guides to accompany the book.

How long are you ready to wait for real success

Every entrepreneur has a dream. Whether or not you want to become a millionaire is off-topic. What’s more important is whether or not your business works for you and provides why you started it in the first place.

I think that is not the case

While many business books focus on a specific problem that you think is preventing your business from succeeding, Millionaire businessman It will address the root cause of what is preventing your business from expanding to the better and more profitable.
